Paris Fashion Week - Fall/Winter 2010

The fashion week season has ended with a wonderful finale! Definitely the French do know how to put on a show, and what a show! Karl Lagerfeld had Swedish glaciers brought to Paris for the Chanel fashion show... as a “silent” protest for global warming.
Among the runway trends were: fur, black, lace, velvet, beige, metallic, 70’s, 20’s, 50’s, Victorian England retro, and ruffles.

I hope you enjoyed these flash updates.

The bag special edition for Spring 2010

I want to give you a fun way to learn about bags, nowadays there are so many names for bags, that when we go into a shop we sometimes feel a bit lost... on the picture above you will get some “key” words to familiarize ourselves, when we go shopping and learn something new every day.

A Handbag is the accessory that frequently completes a look.

When I’m really “into” a bag I can wear it almost every day, but when my mood tells me to dress up, then I can change bag almost every single day... I know, it’s crazy, but sometimes I can be very picky with what I match my bag, sometimes my bag has nothing to do with what I’m wearing... it gives that loose look I tend to look for sometimes.

So, if you are like me or similar like me, when it comes to your bag then enjoy it! And if not, enjoy it as well. There is no golden rule for bags! Thanks for that, right?

Milan Fashion Week - Fall/Winter 2010

MFW was exquisite!

40’s pin-up hairdos, après ski looks, hard accessories, librarian-chic retro sunglasses, is what the Italians have given us this past week.

The biggest trends on the runway were suede, furs, leather, lace, beige and grey, high-cut neck and knee-length, silver, metallic, gold, and capes.

Among my favorite shows were Fendi, Prada, Bottega Veneta, D&G, Etro, Krizia, Luisa Beccaria, Maurizio Pecoraro, and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Beautiful at any age - The spring edition

The amount of hours we spend deciding on what to wear, and still we doubt if we look good, or accordingly to the occasion... well, that is why I love this issue, and giving advice.

I have arranged different looks and outfits per age, but please feel free to look at it on what you like and not on what I say is age appropriate... we all know that in your 20’s you can get away with anything, so If you are in your 50’s, and you want to wear the Peter Pilotto, which personally I think it would look amazing, then go ahead! Identify yourself with what you feel is you.

I love the Michael Kors dress, I know I can’t wear it like that though, because I need to camouflage some extras few many kilos, so I know I would have to layer it, maybe with the Marc Jacobs jacket, or maybe with a great red jacket with Miu Miu crystal bag, Givenchy lace shoes and Bochic collection turquoise and diamond cuff

"The best color in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you!” Coco Chanel
